Step 1
The Wishlist
You know yourself and your family best. Whether you have already created a detailed wishlist or you need help determining which features you need, we are here to help make sure your home suits you perfectly, while always staying within budget.
Do you like to entertain? How will your children grow into their rooms as they get older? Do you need extra storage space? How can we strategically place outlets and switches for your Christmas lights? We’ll ask you questions to make sure that every detail is accounted for.
Once this stage is complete, we will all be on the same page, and you’ll be more excited about your dream home than ever!
Step 2
Location, Location, Location
Now that we know what you’re looking for in your custom home, it’s time to decide where to put it. There is no shortage of options in the Okanagan, from private lots along the lake, to trendy new communities, to beautiful acreages and more.

Step 3
Designing Your Dream Home
This is where the real fun begins — designing your custom home. There are a lot of decisions to be made, but the team at Destination Homes will work with you to ensure that the process of designing your home is an enjoyable one.
Design incorporates both function and aesthetic. We’ll help you determine every detail — from floor plans, to the tile in your bathroom, to the cabinetry in your kitchen, to paint colours, to how many lights and electrical outlets you will need — all while staying within your budget.
Step 4
Building Your Custom Home
Now, it’s time to take your dream home design and turn it into something concrete. The Destination Homes team has been building luxury homes in the Okanagan since 1986, and our extensive knowledge and experience is a key asset in building your dream home on time and on budget.
We keep the lines of communication open at all times, and encourage our homeowners to be as involved in the building process as they wish. We are always happy to address your questions or concerns, and will alert you of anything that requires your attention right away. Your home building experience should be positive and exciting, and we do whatever it takes to make it so.
Step 5
Welcome Home!
The moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here! When we hand you the keys to your new home, we complete a final walkthrough with you to review features, answer any questions that you have, and ensure that you love every detail.
Moving into your new home should be a worry-free experience. We keep all appliance manuals, warranties, and records in a convenient package for you and are always available to address any of your questions or concerns. After all, you’re part of the Destination Homes family now.
